Thank you for supporting Intermountain Forensics. You can donate directly to IMF or support one of our partners as they raise funds for cases.

The introduction of Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy to the forensic DNA community represents a "game changing" technology in the resolution of investigative cold cases.  Unfortunately, the funding for this technology and the cases they impact is very minimal.  IMF intends to bridge that gap to move these cases forward to resolution. Will you join us?

Partner Assistance: Moxxy Forensics

Intermountain Forensics prides itself on the collaborative work that we do with our many partners.  Occasionally our partners will ask for assistance in raising funds to cover the lab casework costs with IMF.

Fort Bend County, Texas, John Doe 2023

On June 13th, 2023, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of a drowning of an unknown individual.  The victim was a Hispanic male, between 40-50 years of age, and weighed approximately 150 pounds.  He had a buzz haircut, brown eyes, and wore a mustache and beard.

In March 2024, Moxxy Forensic Investigations teamed up with Intermountain Forensics and the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office to attempt to identify this John Doe through the use of investigative genetic genealogy.  A crowdfund has been established to cover the costs associated.  Once funds are received and lab work is complete, Moxxy Forensic Investigations will conduct investigative genetic genealogy to identify this individual.

Crow Hang Village, Arizona, Jane Doe 2008

On June 22nd, 2008, the body of a 15-20 year old Latina female was found on the side of the road in Crow Hang Village, on the Tohono O’odham Nation, in Arizona. The young woman had fake Mexican identification papers bearing the name, “Maria Mendez Morales”. This name was unable to be confirmed, but the facial photograph on the ID paper is likely that of the decedent.

Moxxy Forensic Investigations will be working in partnership with the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner to crowdfund all costs associated with this case. Once funds are received and lab work is complete, Moxxy Forensic Investigations will conduct investigative genetic genealogy to identify this individual.
