Things are progressing nicely! We are getting a good amount of evidentiary items rolling in. The final touches on our validation of extraction and quantification are complete and getting final approval and final competency tests are being run to complete training. We will run our first batches of casework next week and have some preliminary reports out to our first submitting partners shortly thereafter. Remember, a preliminary report is going to give DNA quantification information about the sample. Specifically we will report approximately how much DNA was obtained and of that, how much specifically was male DNA. These reports are absolutely critical to decisions on how the sample will proceed (or if it will proceed at all). The lab staff are all excited to get past "implementation" and on to normal operations. We want to help, sooner rather than later! Keep on submitting, we're ready!
