We are thrilled to announce an exciting development at Intermountain Forensics that brings us one step closer to achieving justice for the victims of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. Intermountain Forensics and DNA Labs International have recently joined together, combining our expertise and cutting-edge technologies to advance forensic investigative genetic genealogy. This partnership enhances our ability to solve cases using the latest whole genome sequencing techniques, and it marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to identify victims of this tragic event.
As part of our commitment to this important work, we are delighted to welcome the forensic investigative genetic genealogy team from DNA Labs International to our network of pro bono volunteers. Their addition brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to the 1921 Graves Project, an initiative dedicated to identifying the victims of the Tulsa Race Massacre through advanced forensic techniques.
The 1921 Graves Project is a collaborative effort that includes several dedicated organizations and volunteers, including the DNA Doe Project, Identifinders International, DNA Detectives, Moxxy Forensics and the Cold Case Coalition. Together, these groups contribute countless hours of forensic genetic genealogy research to uncover the identities of those buried in unmarked graves. The recent exhumation at Oaklawn Cemetery in Tulsa has unearthed additional potential victims, and we are confident that the expanded team will significantly contribute to providing more profiles for the forensic genetic genealogy process.
One notable success story from our combined efforts is the identification of C.L. Daniel, the first victim to be identified through this groundbreaking effort. While identifying these victims is a meticulous and challenging process, the dedication and knowledge of our team members, now including those from DNA Labs International, are crucial in advancing this critical work.

We look forward to the new insights and breakthroughs that the DNA Labs International (DLI) team will bring to our collective mission. "We are honored to be involved in this effort, which reflects our shared commitment to honoring the memory of the victims of the Tulsa Race Massacre and providing hope for those who have long been forgotten." said Allison Nunes, President of DNA Labs International.
