Evidence Submission Process
Submitting evidence to Intermountain Forensics has 3 distinct stages: Initialize, Submit, and Verify
Every case at Intermountain Forensics begins with a submission to our online portal. Below on this page, we have links for existing clients to enter in their information and for new clients to get registered. Once you have your portal login, you will fill out the evidence submission form in the system. Be as detailed as possible. We are currently working on materials to help walk you through this process, however, should you have questions now, you can always contact us.
**Please note: It is recommended that before you begin this process, that you have an initial consultation with IMF staff so that we can help you decide what needs to be done with your evidence and what the costs of that might be.
When your evidence is received at our laboratory, a member of IMF staff will contact you about your items. We will review with you what you have in your portal entry and collect additional information from you to insure that we process your evidence appropriately.
Before you head to the post office, be sure that you have fully updated your new evidence portal entry and hit the submit to LIMS button.
In order to protect chain of custody, make sure that any evidence you send to us has a tracking number and requires a signature at delivery. Our general hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm. Please make sure that your delivery is scheduled during those times.
