We are thrilled to announce that the services offered by our California satellite lab have obtained ISO 17025 accreditation as a testing laboratory through the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) as our satellite laboratory.
As a nonprofit laboratory, Intermountain Forensics has been dedicated to providing reliable and accurate forensic DNA and SNP profiles suitable for upload to genetic genealogy databases to law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and families since our establishment. We have always strived to maintain the highest standards of quality, and the award of ISO 17025 accreditation is a testament to that commitment. ISO 17025 accreditation is an internationally recognized standard for testing and calibration laboratories. It requires a laboratory to demonstrate technical competence in their testing and calibration activities, as well as their ability to produce accurate and reliable results.
The accreditation process is rigorous and requires the laboratory to undergo regular assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with the standards. By obtaining this accreditation, our California satellite laboratory has demonstrated its ability to meet these high standards and provide the same level of service as our main lab in Salt Lake City in the areas in which we are accredited.
The acquisition of ISO 17025 accreditation for our California satellite laboratory will expand our capacity to provide reliable and accurate forensic DNA and SNP profiles suitable for upload to genetic genealogy databases services to our clients. It will also enable us to provide these services more efficiently and effectively, which will ultimately benefit our clients and the justice system as a whole.
We are proud of our team at IMF:California for their hard work and dedication in obtaining this accreditation, and we look forward to continuing to provide high-quality services to our clients. We are committed to maintaining our ISO 17025 accreditation at both our main lab and satellite laboratory, and to continually improving our services to better serve the needs of our clients and the justice system.
